October 23, 2020 – Michigan CLASS is pleased to announce the recent addition of Jeffrey Anderson as a Regional Director of Marketing. He will be responsible for strengthening and preserving current relationships, upkeep of participant data, and the further development of the program statewide. Jeff brings with him fifteen years of experience in local government as a finance director as well as a unique perspective that will continue to enhance the marketing efforts for the Michigan CLASS program.

Before joining Michigan CLASS, Jeff most recently served as the Finance Director and Deputy Treasurer for Delta Charter Township where his responsibilities included accounting, auditing, annual budget preparation, purchasing, and other finance-related duties. He additionally served as the Accounting Controller for Neogen Corporations and served on the Michigan CLASS Board of Trustees for the last six years.

“Jeff’s financial background and his experience serving the public sector provide him with a unique perspective that will greatly benefit the Michigan CLASS program and its Participants. Jeff’s understanding of the public investment marketplace coupled with his historical contributions to Michigan CLASS, both as a Participant and a Board Member, makes him a perfect addition to our team. I am excited to work alongside him as we collectively seek to deliver outstanding service across Michigan,” said Chris DeBow, Managing Partner.

Jeff received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Western Michigan University. He is an active member of the Michigan Municipal Treasurers’ Association, the Michigan Government Finance Officers Association, and the Knights of Columbus. Jeff has enjoyed teaching municipal budgeting classes for the MMTA and other municipal organizations over the last several years.
